Description
A striking original studio pottery charger by British ceramic artist Paul Goddard, dated 1989.
Hand thrown in warm speckled stoneware, this beautifully balanced piece features an abstract incised landscape with geometric lines, textured fields and a rising sun motif in rich earthy oxides. The restrained palette of sand, charcoal and burnt umber gives it a distinctly modernist feel while remaining timeless.
Designed as both functional pottery and wall art, it displays beautifully on a shelf, sideboard or mounted as a statement piece.
The reverse is impressed with the maker's mark and dated 1989.
Condition Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Light age-related wear to the base consistent with use.
